Threenthings that contributed to the sinking are water tight compartments flooded, it hit an ice berg, and they ignored ice messages. The way the differnet social classes were treated is first class was treated well because they were the richest passengers. Second class wasnt treated as well but were still treated pretty good. Third class was treated worse because they were usually immigrants. My reaction when i finished the story was that the titanic incident was terrible.

Night time so it was harder to see the icebergs. Spring so the captin didn't think that there would be icebergs. The boat was too big.

The first class was the rich and the first ones to be loaded onto the life boats. The second class was the people who were teachers and were the second class to be able to be loaded on the life boats. The thrid class was the immagrants that wanted to go to America to start a new life.

When I finished reading this story I was sad for everyone who died and thought of my progenetors that may have been on the ship when it sank.

1) The three reasons the titanic sunk was one because they were not looking out for the icebergs as good as they should have. Two, The captian and the crew ignored all the iceberg warnings. Three, The people aboard the ship didn't realize the seriousness of the situation.
2) The highest rank was treated with much respect and they got all the good items on the boat such as food, clothing, bedding, rooms The (medium) wealthy were treted about the same they just didn't get as nice rooms. The immigrants and workers were treated the worst if you were and immigrant or a worker you just worked on the ship and you weren't alowed to get into a life boat so most of that social class died.
3) I wasn't very surprised because I have seen the movie and heard about it but it is still a sad situation and I learned a little more about the titanc then I knew before!

1. The three reasons that i think most contirbuted to the sinking of the Titanic are one the captin did not pay attention to the messages about the iceberg, two they decided to traval at a bad time, three the titanic was way to big to be travaling on water when there are things that you can run into.
2. They were treated differently the lower class did not have as nice of rooms and could not bring as much clothes. when the first class brought almost all of their clothes and belongings.
3. my reacion was sadness i thought that it was and is a very sad story not one that i would cry about but it is very sad.

#1 The 3 reasons the Titanic sank were: the capitain ignoring the iceberg warnings, the calm waters, the time of year ((cold))

#2 The social classes were treated different because the first class passangers were given lots of respect & treated really nice w/ nice things but the third class passengers things were just done in a rush & they couldn't even get on deck because they wanted 2 make more room 4 the 1st class passengers

#3 When I finished reading the selection i felt very sad 4 all the people that died & their stories but yet it felt cool 2 learn bout the horrible tradegy and what caused it. & 2 hope it never happens again

1 The three reasons that contrubute the titanic was that it was such a big boat, alot of people died from it and that alot of important people that was onthat boat and made the boat that died.
2.The classes were not treated the same the imigrants were treated very bad they did not get treated as well as the 1st class and the 1st class was treated very well.
3.I thought that the titanic was not going to sink because everyone said that it was unsinkible and that it was very sad because alot od people died and it was a huge lost.

Anonymous said...

I think one reason is that they didnt listen to all the warnings about the icebergs. Another reason is when they hit the iceberg noone cared because they thought the ship was unsinkable. The last reason is that five of the water tight compartments filled up and only four could fill up without the boat sinking. One of the groups in the social classe was the wealthy. They were treated very well because they had so much money. The medium class got treated farely well. And the immagrants and lower classes werent treated very well they worked in the boiler rooms. I thought it was bad that all those people died and that such a huge beautiful ship got destroyed.

1. Three reasons that contributed to the titanic are the ship was huge, the watertight compartments were filled, and the radio operators turned off their radio during the night.

2. The different social classes were treated very differently. The immagrants had to live in the boiler rooms. The merchants/ teachers were treated with some respect. The wealthy were treated with a lot of respect.

3. After I got done reading the selection I was amazed that so many people died and that the captain didn't supply enough lifeboats for all of the passengers/ let so many passengers on.

Three things that contributed to the sinking of the Titanic were the ships size, the fact that it didn't have spotlights, and it was a calm sea. The social classes were treated very differently. First class were treated like royalty. Immagrants were not allowed on deck. I was surprised that they didn'thave enough lifboats.

Anonymous said...

The first reason it sunk was because of the big gash in the bottom of the boat. The second was of the flood compartments. The third was the people they made some of the life-boats leave only half full and others tipped over or crushed other life-boats while going into the water.

Anonymous said...

I think that the Titanic sank because the sialors that were on the radio ignored the iceberg warnings. It was a calm night so you couldnt see the white turf around the edge first. They did not have enough binoculars for all of the watchers on deck.

Anonymous said...

One of the three reasond is that the water tight compartments where full and only four could fill and five did. Another on is that it hit a iceberg. The trird in is that the radio was off so there was not a warning.

The first social class what First class and they treted very well they got a lot very nice. Thesecond on is the 2 class and they were also treated really good not al well as the first.. There was immigrants to there where not treated as well. They were left to live kinda.

I felt kinda sad and i would of hated to be there. I would hate to fell like i am dying.

1. the iceberg, the social classes and the watertight compartments
2.the lowest social classes worked in the boiler rooms, the 3rd class people were in the bottom decks. The semi-rich people had 2nd class tickets. The wealthy people were in the first class decks.

Hello everybody! Three things that contributed to the Titanic sinking is that the captin thought it would be to late in spring for iceburgs to be out at sea. It was a calm sea and it was night time so it was hard to see them, and the boat was probably a little to big to said out of the harbor.

The first class was rich and valued people and the first ones aboard the ship. The second class was the middle class and full of working people who worked for other people. The third class was hard working immigrants that were hoping to go to america to start a new life.

When we finished this book I was sad for all the people who died.

One of the reasons that contributed to the titanic sinking was they hit a ice berg and dident have enough people on watch they also didnt have enough life boats.
the rich people got really nice rooms and other stuff and the poor people got just rooms with loke olnt bunk beds. my reaction was that it would be kind of scary on the boat and how many people died it would not be good

1) The three reasons that contirbuted to the sinking of the Titanic are that maybe it was too big to control. The night was calm with no winds and no moon so they couldnt see that there was an iceberg ahead. That people didnt think that the Titanic could sink so they didnt prepare for what was ahead until it was too late.

2) The different social classes were treated on the Titanic by how wealthy they were. The people in the way bottom were the people who worked in the boiler rooms. The next class were the imigriants. The second class were the teachers and the proffesionals. The the first class were the wealthy who were treated the best.

3) My reaction was that i was sad and wouldve hated to have been there.

One reason why the titanic sank is because it hit an iceberg. another reason why it sank is because 5 water tight compartments filled with water, and only 4 could. also, there was no moon light to guid them. they also shut off their radio, so they did not know that it was comming until they hit it.
the different social classes were treated very different. the immigrants and workers in the boiler rooms were treated the worst because they lived in the basement where the boiler and engine rooms are. the second class passengers were treated better. they slept in nice cabins and had a good staff they were treated better than the immigrants and the boiler room and engine room workers.also, the first class passengers were treated the best. they had the fancy cabins and they had the best crew workers. when i finished reading, i felt like i knew a little more about the titanic. also, i felt sorry for the people who were there.

It was night so it was hard to see.
There was no wind so no ripples on the icebergs.
There were not enoughph benoculers for the watch people.

I thought it was a good book for reading again.

the social classes were different then now what they are. On the titanic there were 1st slass, 2nd class, 3rd class, and the engineres.

One reason for the titanic sinking is the water tight conpartments flooded they ignored warnings of ice bergs and the radio guy was asleep.

The different social classes got treated diffrent because the wealthy class had nice rooms and the people told them privately to get life jackets on. the middle class was just normal. the last class was 6 bunks in a room and they banged on the doors to tell them to go.

My reaction was shocked on how many people died and how they treated people.Another reason was glad that half the people got off safe, sad for the people who did not get off and died.

The 3 reasons the titanic sunk is 1 that the officers didnt listen to the iceberg warnings. 2 is that htey werent looking for icebergs and the third reason is thsat the passengers didnt realize the seriousness of the situation.

The difference in the classes were great in first class they brought their servants and butlers but in third class they did not get nearly as nice rooms.

I was thinking why didn they only have enough life boats for only half of the passengers.

Anonymous said...

1 i think one reson that the titanic sank was the fact that they ignored the iceberg warnings, the other ship's radio was off, and that the iceberg had hit five of the water tight compartments.
2 the fist class was treted really well while the second class was a little less treatde and the thid class and workers wernt even treated at all.
3 my reaction was the fact that they didnt have enough life boats for such a large and elegant ship.

Anonymous said...

One reason is it was so cold that there were many icebugrs.
Bre w

It was todark to see the ice burgs
I was not able to hold all cabins with water

The socail classes were differnt than now beause there are now speshalspeashal classes now they are all equal. Back than they had differnt classes like 1st 2ed exc.

1)One of the reasons the titanic sank is because the officers were not paying attention to the ice berg calles. 2)Anohther reason is the people were not watching for icebergs. 3) The last reason i will give you is that the 4 compart ments filled to fast and that that shouldn't of happened. The social classes were treated very differently the high class was treated very nicely and the lower classes were not treated very nicely. My reaction was when i finished ready was the the people didn't pay attention to there jobs and that people thought that there was an unsinklable ship.

Anonymous said...

1.Three reasons that contirbuted to the sinking of the Titanic is that the captin ingored all of the warnings. And they hit the iceberg which made them sink. And that the compartments were filled up with water more then 4 compartments, and it only can hold 4 or it will sink.
2. The social classes were treated on the Tintanic. 1st class was treated the best because they are richer. And the class that was treated the worst were the 3rd class, which were immigrants.
3.My reaction when I finished reading the selection was that it very sad, and for the people that died in the water or on the ship; their family members must have felt really bad/sad for awhile.

Anonymous said...

1.The glaciers gash,it filled up five compartments not 4, and the engines were shut down.
2.1st class they were treated with all the respect in the world, second class they were treated like normal and third class was just ignored.
3.I was surprised by how many people died.

One reason the titanic sank was that it was night time and was hard to see. Another reason it sank was that it was a moonless night. One more reason was that it was a calm night so there was no wind to kick up surf around it.

The 1st class passengers were treated really good because they had nice rooms. The second class were treated pretty good. They had nice rooms too. The immigrants and workers were treated really bad. they had to sleep in the hot and sweaty boiler rooms.

I felt that i knew more about the Titanic and would be a good story for reading again.

Anonymous said...

The three reasons the Titantic sank is because the workers werent watching for icebergs that closely because they thought the ship was unskinkable,it was a calm night, and it was dark outside.

The 1st class and second class people had nicer rooms than the other classes.

I felt sorry for all the people that died.

Anonymous said...

1.They made many movies and plays to honor all that were lost that cold night.
2.They have people made small models and staues of the ship before and after iy hit the ice berg.
3.Some of the survers on the the ship wrote books on how scary it was and how luky they are to stell be a live.

The first and second were woke up and went on the life boats last and the fist were treated nicer than every one else.

I thought it was sad that most of the people died.

One of the three reasons that contributed to the sinking was that Harold Bride fell asleep and might've missed an iceberg report. The second reason is that all 5 water tight compartments filled up; only 4 could fill up and the boat would still float. And the last reason is that it wasn't a windy night so they couldn't see snow fly around them.
There are three social classes that rode the Titanic, the first is Class 1, or the wealthy. Another is the Class 2, or the teachers, merchants, etc. The last is Class 3, or the immagrants. Class 1 was treated like royalty. Class 2 was treated fairly, in-between Class 1 and Class 3. And the immagrants were treated poorly, along with the workers in the boiler room.
My reaction was sad, and I think they should've loaded more people into the first few boats.

1)It sank because it was to big and had to much momentum. At nite it was to dark to see iceburgs.there was no waves so there were no bubbles to tell if there were iceburgs around.

2)the upper classes were treated with respect and kept in the best rooms. the middle classes were treated with some respect and kepkt in smaller and worse rooms. the lowest class was treated with very little respect and lock up in the lower levels.

3)it was a gret story, iwould read it again.

1.three reasons that contributed to the titanic are they hit an iceberg,5 compartments were filled, andto dark to see icebergs.

2.the wealthy were treated with respect and luxary, the 2nd class poeple were treated like anyone else, and the 3rd class poeple were treated a with litle respect and got not so great rooms, and the poeple in the boiler room were treated with no respect and had bad rooms and had to work in a hot area.

1.I think that the reasons that the Titanic sank because they did not care much about the ice warnings, it was also a calm night and that it was hard to spot the ice burgs, also that the ship could of gone on a different course to avoid the ice burgs.
2.The social class were treated different because some were poor, rich, and other things about the classes. The third class had just bunkes and the upper class had firnuter and other nice things.
3.My reaction was that I was suppriesd that mant people lost there lives because of a big ice chunck.

it sank becuse....
1. it had a hole in the side of the ship.
2.people ignored the iceberg warrnings.
3. there was no moon so it was hard to see the icebergs.
the social classes were treted difrently likebecuse...
1.they paid more money so the had thebest treatment
2. when the ship was sinking the people were warned difrently
3.the captain only shoke the first class passengers hands
i tought that when the ship sank and snaped in half. it was terible that so many people died but people did get saved by the new yorker

1. Nightime with no moon so they couldn't see the icebergs.
2.The Captin didn't think they were any icebergs due to it being in the spring time.
3.The Captin and the people in the radio room ignored all the iceberg warnings.

The highest social class where the rich people and they were on the top so they could have gotton in the life boats as long as they were a woman or a child.
The second class were people that were teachers so that being they also got to be on the lifeboats before the third class; the third class were the people that were immagrants that where wanting to come to America to start a new life. The other people that were in the last class were the workers in the boiler room.

When I got done reading this story I had thought that it was so sad that so many lives had been lost and that not so many would have been lost if the captins and the radio room workers would have paid attention to the warnings and I also think that most of the lives could have been saved if the passengers would have been more cautous and they would have gottin on the first boat... I also think that the people in charge of the boat should have been aware of how many lifeboats there were and I think that they shouldve had more boats on there in case if the titanic was "unsinkable".

1} 3 reasons
a. One reason is that there were many iceburgs out at sea.
b. Another reason is that the driver thought that the titanic couldn't sink, so he wasn't too worried about the iceburgs.
c. The last reason is that that it was ark out, so it was hard to see the iceburg.

2} Different social calsses
a. Class one was treated like they were special, and got the best stuff in their rooms, because they spent the most money.
b. Class two wasn't treated as well as class one, and they didn't have as good stuff, because they didn't spend as much money.
c. Class three was treated bad and had bad stuff, because they spent the least money.

3} Reaction
a. My reaction was that I felt sorry for all the people that died and that the other ship shouuld have got there sooner.

1. It was dark so they couldent see.
1. There was no wind so thier were no ripples made by the icebergs.
1. They dint have enough flash lights to see around.

2. First class got a lot of atention while second class dint get as much atention.

3. Sad, becasue all those people died when the could have been saved.

One reason for the titanic sinking they het an iceberg and the conpartments were flooded they just ignored the flooding, and they tired to reach them, but the guys were asleep.

The different social class were different, because the class was a wealthy class had nice rooms and the middle class was normal. The last class had 6 bunks and they had to bang on the doors to tell them to go up to the deck.

My reaction was shocked of many people died. Another reason I was happy , because people survied.

1. Because they where not paying attention to the iceburg reports that were coming in. Because of the ship hitting the iceburg. Because they thought that the Titanic was unsinkable.
2. The the main social class was the rich people, and they were treated better because they had money. Second social class was the not so wealthy people, they weren't treated well at all. Third social class was the workers they weren't treated well either because they had to work to earn their money.
3. I felt bad for all of the people that lost their lives because they wanted to be the first on the biggest ship. I also felt sad.
